Fund Raising

William Bendlowe Charity does not receive any income other than the funds it raises for itself or by funds generously given in the form of donations.

We are no different to any other charity, we do need funds to pay for our day-to-day costs and it is important to us to ensure we adhere to our own ethos when fund raising.

To achieve this the majority of our fund raising has been done by organising fun, social, events encouraging people to meet and socialise. In addition, we strive to fund raise whilst ensuring our supporters not only enjoy themselves but the cost is kept as low as possible.

The main reason we have been able to achieve this is due to the selflessness and extraordinary generosity of talented local people who have given their time and skills free.

From 2016 to 2018, the majority of our fund raisers have been hosted by a local duet G&T singing popular songs for Bendlowe’s for free. December 2019 we organised Shalford’s Variety Show which, again, all entertainers gave their time for free.
